This installation was winner of the 2018 Icebreakers Exhibition in Toronto. Bears have fascinated humans for thousands of years and have been the source of much mythology.

 

Grizzly bears in particular are a good indicator species, and the health of their populations tell us about the state of the larger ecosystem. Today, their survival depends on the choices we and future generations make.  This piece invites people to get inside and get cozy. It invites everyone to lookout, and see the world through the eyes of a bear.
